I don't know if others feel it. But when the shopping malls are all decked out with flickering lights, Christmas trees, shiny baubles and the background is filled with cheerful Christmas songs, you feel lighter. You feel the urge to do something nice for yourself and others. You prance around all the shops, marvelling at the stocks. And soon, you find yourself buying and shopping more than you need.
But then, Christmas is a season for giving. So a once a year affair of shopping excessively seems like a nice thing. Give and you shall receive. So, says the Lord!
