Summertime barbeque

I have never been to America and I am very puzzled why they want to eat something hot like barbeque in an already hot weather? Why didn't people have grill and roast stuffs during winter or at least autumn? Wouldn't the cold weather makes eating hot, burning foods like that more fun?

I wonder why people are looking for push bars and grills during summer. I hope someone can enlighten me? In my tropical climate, having barbeque is never fun unless we have cold, rainy days. Otherwise all those fire and hot sun will melt everyone.

I think you are silly and your entry doesn't make sense to me. If I will let you eat a cold barbecue, do you think you like it? I don't think so. I wonder why what country you are from. If it's summer, that means, people should eat cold foods too? Oh dear...

because summer is the time when you feel comfortable standing outdoor for long period bbq-ing and grilling. if winter time, your toes and fingers will freeze, the guests will run indoor and left one poor freezing dude bbq-ing outside.
