No brains for numbers

 

Few months ago, I had an embarassing situation at the market. The regular aunty who sells vegetables was not around and her bumbling husband took over. This old man has absolutely no experience in selling and he can't count to save his life.

So, I was there with another man who was buying stuffs. After I had gotten a few items, this old man vegetable seller couldn't count and had a hard time repeating and repeating his sum. I freaked out because I was equally bad. Ok, maybe a little better. He was hoping for me to help him out. I pretended not to pay attention. Lucky the guy next to me was impatient to get his stuffs done and he helped the old man with the maths.

It was one cold sweat situation, I tell you. I must carry a calculator with me the next time I go out.
