Pussy willows

I am not sure why this flower is call pussy willows. I suppose the little, white, fluffy flower is very much like pussy cats hence, the name pussy. It is tall and willowy so the name pussy willows.

Some years back, I manage to get them to grow roots and new leaves. When the cut stem is immersed in water for too long, the little flower will grow long like a pussy cat tail. I think it grows better in colder climate but you can try and see if your bunch of pussy willows will flourish and bloom.
